Employment History

Owner, Reeves Associates, Regional Director, Vocational Research Institute and VERTEK, Inc.  Independently represent suppliers of vocational assessment, skills training and job matching systems. Supervise masters- and doctoral-level representatives covering Midwest for sales/marketing, systems implementation and consulting services. Oversee large proposals/bids, contract management and customer relations. Consult with suppliers on software product development and validation/refinement of existing systems. Primary markets include schools, job training agencies, human resources, vocational rehabilitation, government and nonprofit agencies. (1991 to present)

Senior Human Resources Consultant, Corporate Education Resources, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Consulted with over 50 of the Fortune 500 and other large institutions to develop and implement automated human resources planning, assessment, training and career development systems. Facilitated client decision-making for process automation/improvement and provided training and consulting to conduct job analysis, determine skills sets and implement human resource planning and development processes. Published and presented Total Quality Career Management at Midwest regional conference of the American Society for Training and Development. (1987 to 1990)

Statewide Coordinator, Conferences and Continuing Education, University of Alaska, Fairbanks, Alaska. Designed, developed, and delivered or contracted out in-service and professional licensure training programs and workshops for statewide businesses and professionals. Developed cost benefit analysis spreadsheet application for projecting revenue generation. (1985 to 1986)

Director, Alaska Life/Work Planning Center, Fairbanks, Alaska. Responsible for start-up and growth of career development and job readiness service-provider business. Developed contracts with Alaska Vocational Rehabilitation, area schools, the U.S. Army Education Office, private businesses and tribal agencies. Worked with over 3,000 individuals and delivered over 200 workshops. Designed and developed business management applications for spreadsheet, database and word processing software and worked with businesses/corporations as contract trainer. Published book; Stalking the Great Alaskan Job, magazine and journal articles, research studies, newspaper columns and produced training video series. (1980 to 1985)

Director of Training and Career Development, CETA/Adult Learning Programs of Alaska, Fairbanks, Alaska. Designed, developed and managed training and assistance services for 500 CETA Public Service Employment participants in a service delivery region the size of Texas. Supervised six staff and contracted numerous trainers and consultants. Initially hired as assessment specialist and instructor/counselor in adult education. (1977 to 1980)
